An Deceuninck’s autobiographical works merge nature, mythology and folklore. Using media such as photography, painting, collage and encaustic, she creates poetic images to liberate herself from her physical and mental limitations. Each project is a gradual progression, documented in journals as part of the process. Her work is intimate, layered and dreamlike; a gentle exploration of inner worlds.
